Synopsis

Substance use and addiction can render us without self-control, like a “city broken into and left without walls” (Proverbs 25:28). They also often bring along with them painful consequences and states of affair for the individual involved, relationships and families.

“..left without walls..” is a 2-day workshop equipping families and supporters with understanding of Substance Use & Addiction and practical tools to help those who are struggling.

About the trainer

Since 2003, Anson has assumed pastoral, clinical and leadership roles with community agencies serving persons recovering from addictions. He had headed the first halfway house running a non faith-based program for the moderate to high-risk group, and has developed numerous inmate/family programs, some still currently used in the institutions. He runs addiction recovery support groups in the community, and provides counselling services for individuals, couples and families. He also conducts training and clinical supervision for practitioners in the corrections and addictions field.
