Become a Mentor

Invest your life in another

Share wisdom, listen deeply, and point others to Christ.

Our mentors are committed to model godliness, authenticity, humility, consistency, and care. You won’t journey alone—we will equip you, support you, and walk alongside you as you mentor.

Who can be a mentor?

If you sense a call to invest in someone’s life, this is a meaningful place to begin.

We invite you to attend our Info Session: Who Is a Mentor and Can I Be One?—an honest introduction to mentoring and how we support those who serve in this role.

Because mentoring grows best in community, mentors are:
  • Members of BRMC, and
  • Actively involved in a BRMC Connect Group
Not yet connected? We’d love to help you begin.

How we support you

You won’t be mentoring alone. As a mentor, you’ll receive:
  • Practical training for mentoring conversations and young adult contexts
  • Ongoing pastoral support
  • Peer community for learning and reflection

Safeguarding & Covenant

We are committed to creating mentoring relationships that are safe, life-giving, and Christ-centred. Our mentoring covenant upholds:
  • Mutual respect
  • Clear and healthy boundaries
  • Confidentiality
  • Accountability and pastoral oversight

What to expect as a mentor

  • Duration: One-year mentoring journey
  • Rhythm: Monthly conversations (60–90 minutes)
  • Focus: Listening well and helping mentees discern God’s work in their lives

  2. Prepare by reviewing training insights and resources
  3. Match based on mentee needs and your availability
  4. Begin mentoring and agree on a rhythm—check‑ins at the 3rd and 9th month help reflect and realign
